The Tots class is specially designed for children ages 2-3 years old, and incorporates creative movement through role play, games, dress up, and lead/follow exercises. Give your child the best start in dance by starting them early!
Our Preballet classes are designed for 3 to young 5 year olds, and are integral in preparing young dancers to enter the graded ballet curriculum. We utilize ballet theory in teaching the beginnings of classroom etiquette, body and spacial awareness, and following directions. Dress up time with free dance at the end of class is their reward.
The Beginning Ballet class is not a part of the graded curriculum, but rather allows dancers between the ages of 4-8 to learn ballet in a less structured environment. This class is great for kids who want to dance but are in need of a more casual environment or are limited to Saturday classes.
The graded ballet levels begin at age 5 or 6, and dancers progress through the levels based on mastery of technique, work ethic, and attendance. All dancers in the graded levels have Jazz and Modern training to supplement their ballet. The classes are very structured, requiring adherence to dress code, attendance, and classroom etiquette. The classes become increasingly demanding as the levels get higher, producing dancers that are not only strong in ballet, but also strong in character and life skills.
Pointe classes are incorporated into a dancer's regime when the dancer shows the strength and control necessary to do the work safely. Dancers are told by the instructor when they are ready to begin pointe. Dancers transferring from other studios must be evaluated before continuing pointe work to ensure proper placement.
Our Adult Ballet class is designed for any adult who wishes to learn the art of ballet, or who desires to get back into it after some time off. This is a beginner/intermediate level class, and is customized to physical strengths and weaknesses of each member.
Jazz is a blend of Broadway style dance coupled with classic technique to create a fun, but challenging genre that is fast paced and technically challenging. Our Jazz is classic style of clean movements and fun choreography based off the technical training gained in ballet class.
Modern styles of dance are a lost art in most dance schools today, yet most professional companies and nearly all university programs are highly trained in and utilizing the modern style. We teach it the way the professional do, after the likes of Martha Graham and Lester Horton.
Acro dance is a style of dance that combines classical dance technique with precision acrobatic elements. It is defined by its athletic character and it's unique choreography, which seamlessly blends dance and acrobatics, and its use of acrobatics in a dance context.
